Swimming!

We like to swim in the evening around sunset to avoid the sun (and sunscreen) completely.  Here are some pictures of Henry's first time in the pool.  Our pool is such a light color it doesn't warm up unless it's really really hot - so it was almost too cold to have him get all the way in with the floaty.  Next time.  Liberty is "bold and enthusiastic" according to her swim teacher - so she wants to go in the water all the time and really likes playing with her 4 watering cans (thank you dollar section!).

Pickin' Peaches

We really like to pick peaches at the nearby Agritopia Farms rather than going all the way to Schnepfs Farm (the heat, the crowds, the travel)...so instead we had breakfast next door at The Coffee Shop and strolled over to get some peaches!  We might come back for Apples in a month or so...

Meet Liberty - who really cut loose at preschool making homemade ice cream and looked so disheveled when I picked her up I had to snap a picture when we got home (and this is with somewhat fixed up hair!) Shaking that ice cream bag around was hard work and then eating it was a drippy mess too I guess:) - but someone has got to do it.

BIG GIRL BED, Peaches, Wyatts - Memorial Day Weekend

This weekend we went to pick apples and peaches at The Farm at Agritopia. This is right next door to our favorite - The Coffee Shop and it was 75 out! Glorious! We had a scone on the patio and Liberty went around to pet all the doggies at The Coffee Shop. After that, the Wyatt's came for a visit and we got a mattress for Liberty's new bed, build the bed, and played at the park. It was a great great visit on our last cool temp weekend. p.s. She slept through the night in her bed bed!!! Naptime the next day was rough since she kept messing with the window shutters and playing with her stuffed animals. Daddy worked on the windows (blackout and keeping closed) so hopefully today's nap goes better! It took her 1.5 hours to fall asleep last nap - but she never did get out of the bed at least:)

The Rest of February

What a funny month. We've been prepping for a yard sale, spending money like drunken sailors (dang cheetah surgery and storage shed!) and organizing/editing the house. In addition to these chores we had some wonderful things happen in February - my best friend since 5th grade came to visit! Molly lives in Colorado now and the last time I saw her Liberty was tiny (3 months?) so it was so nice to catch up with her and hear about her bun in the oven due Aug. 22nd. And if Molly & Josh don't find out the gender of their baby they better just call me and LIE about it because I am going crazy with the thought that they won't find out! It was great to have Molly hang out. We did Joe's FarmGrill, Trader Joe's, Liberty Market, cooked out, The PHX Zoo, Liberty's music class...etc. Don't know why I only got 1 picture of Molly and Libs at the Zoo. Feb. hasn't been a very picture-taking month for me I guess. But Molly did help put together a new picnic table for Liberty that Liberty is quite obsessed with. The picture is of our dinner that her puppy dogs had to join us for. She gets a new dog each time she poops in the potty which is is very proud of.

Random Fun (lunch, cookies, drawing, chalk, painting)

I really hope this great weather sticks around. Liberty and I have been trying to keep entertained indoors (lots of drawing and baking) but this morning we went outside while Cameron did some garage cleaning and we did chalk and "painting" on the driveway - it was so nice!

Pinetop Golf Tournament 2011

Each year in July we go to Pinetop to remember my Uncle Willie and see all his family/friends at a memorial golf tournament. My cousins Natalie and Robby are growing up so fast and I love that Natalie is a mini-Angie and Robby is a mini-Willie. This year we rented a cabin with my parents and Kelly/Doug/Charlie. It was great to be in Pinetop again and see the *almost* entire extended family. My camera didn't have any battery left so Kelly was nice enough to let me play paparazzi with her camera - man we've got cute kids!

POOL!

This weekend we got in our pool for the first time this summer after a couple failed attempts. (I'm a wuss with cold water). It was a lot of fun. Liberty is a big fan of wearing hats. She also LOVED that Cameron put on music on the outdoor speakers. She kept trying to get her groove on in her floaty. I'm sure there will be many more days like this to come.

Water Table Fun!

The Smith's always know the coooolest gifts! Thanks Aunt Nancy! Liberty adores her new water/sand table. Getting sand is on the todo list but for now she is thrilled with the water part. Here are some pictures of her first time with the water table, before I learned that just a diaper is the best outfit.

Springtime Swinging

It's SPRING! This particular day it was pretty hot out so we started with a hat (vintage circa 1983), then added a sippy cup, and finally the shades. I think she looks like a little old lady:)
