Liberty's 4th Birthday Party!

Liberty really wanted a FROZEN themed birthday party.  Not since Cinderella had a movie captured her like FROZEN.  I was fortunate enough to have my friend Maria offer up some of her decorations since she threw a Frozen party a few months ago.  As any mother with a daughter knows, FROZEN stuff is sold out everywhere, so the only decoration I could find with the characters was a huge cardboard cutout - the rest we did with a winter wonderland theme and it turned out magical.  So magical in fact, that I couldn't resist having someone with a decent camera come to capture it all!  Julie Griffin took the photos, so I could sit back and soak up my little girl's celebration and all the memorable fun.  So worth it!

I was really feeling the love this day.  My family pitched in so much to pull it together, everyone that was invited came, Liberty spotted this "Elsa" dress for me to wear at Target and insisted I looked fantastic in it....I trusted her...and was giddy I fit into a size small - hasn't happened since high school!, Liberty was so excited to have her best girlfriends come over and she actually remembered to be thankful during present opening time (my parental anxiety moment)....it was just a beautiful day that Liberty enjoyed so much, I'll remember it forever.

STATS:  Weight: 40.6 pounds, Height: 43.5 inches.  98% height.  Predictor website say she'll be 5 10 or 5 11 when she's grown up!

Henry's First Birthday Party!

Our mellow boy didn't want anything to do with his cupcake.  I predicted as much.

He's an angel baby.

His favorite things:

• talking on a play phone
• dancing/singing with Elmo Rocks.
• Wrestling on a bed with Liberty
• Bottles - he doesn't do sippy cups as well as Liberty did at this age.
• Sounds - dog, cow, LION!, panting dog, airplane, car
• Foods - loves beans and tortilla soup (shredded chicken) and stick pretzles
• He really only signs "all done" - he prefers to squawk at us.
• Words - will say mama, dada if you really force him to - but he can totally say water (wawa!) and ball (ba!)
• First steps walking on 12/16 a bit after his birthday.  I write this on new years eve and he's taken 4 steps, stopped and taken 2 more - but then he collapses in a fit of giggles and prefers to be the fastest crawler we know.
• 7 teeth
• WEIGHS - 21.6 pounds LENGTH - 31.5 inches.
• Sleeps 7-7am, naps 9:30-11 and 1:30-3.

This album is video heavy - and they aren't that great and I can't figure out how to only post the best stuff....so for anyone other than Grandma, I'd just watch the first video because it's SUPER SUPER CUTE!

Liberty turns 3!!!!!!!!

Liberty's blue/Cinderella Princess party was a hit - she wore a blue/green dress and headband she picked out, had some of her favorite people over, bounced in the bounce house, decorated cupcakes (her request - but never again!), and enjoyed the generosity of so many friends and family members.  Uncle Andy even flew in from SF again, which is becoming one of the most treasured parts of her birthday parties.  Liberty is a bright, thoughtful little girl now - no more baby... she has been a loving daughter and sister and we are as proud as parents can be.  I'll end up doing a separate blog entry to mark some milestones for our own memory...but for now - the BIRTHDAY ALBUM!

Liberty's 2nd Birthday Party!

What a party! Elmo, bounce house, all our family (except my traveling dad), and tons of friends...it was such a special party! Liberty was so happy all day long - she woke up to Uncle Andy and ended her day going to the park via her new scooter. And in between we felt the love. My personal favorite part of the day was Liberty enjoying the singing of Happy Birthday to You. We actually heard her singing it to herself on the monitor right before she fell asleep that night. Thanks to everyone who helped us celebrate Liberty on her birthday.

1st Birthday Party!

I was really touched that all my family and Liberty's closest friends came to celebrate with us. A few shout-outs.
UNCLE ANDY! Thanks for jumping on a plane to be with us this weekend. Everything would have been about 95% less fun without you here.
AUNT KELLY! Thanks for leaving sicky Charlie and still driving from Flagstaff to help me put on the party and love on Liberty.
GRANDMA JO AND GRANDPA TED! Thanks for all the slicing and dicing food prep and all the amazing love you showed Liberty this weekend.
GMA & GPA WHEELER! Thanks for braving the snowy road conditions to celebrate with us. And for the liquor chocolates:)

1 YEAR OLD!

stats and notes for our babybook...

24 pounds and 11.5 ounces (95%)
32 inches tall (Dr. Z said she measures like a 19 month old) (99%)
Says "up", "mumma", "dada", "blegh" and attempts "apple" (She thinks everything in the fruit bowl is an apple)
WOOFS and MEOWS at every dog/cat she sees (in books or outside) and VROOMS at every car.
Brushing her teeth with water is one of her favorite things to do.
Signs milk/cup, more, all done, swing/outside, diaper change, brush teeth, brush hair
Can point out her hair/head, feet/toes, belly (which she gets wrong and points to her chest everytime!), nose, mouth and ears.
Throws a lot of food on the floor at mealtime.
Loves to find anyone's bellybutton.
Pretty much eats all table food (finishing up the last of the babyfood jars..)
Whole milk now, and this is our last week of a bedtime bottle...sippy cups 100% now.
Loves to dance to the Imagination Movers in Concert show I recorded on the dvr.
2 naps 10-11:30 and 3-4:30.
9 teeth. Her second molar showed up after her birthday party. We never know when she is teething I feel like I'm the only mom that never knows.

Liberty Ann Wyatt BORN 4/7/2010

9 pounds, 22 inches

Born at 5:01pm on Wednesday, 4/7/10

We've been home since Friday and have so enjoyed these first few days with our daughter! She is a good nurser, sleeper and has adorable moments of just being alert and following our voice around with open eyes. She really looks like Cameron's newborn photos and weight/length were the same! We were scheduled to be induced on Wednesday morning, but went into the hospital early because labor had started on its own - everything progressed nicely and Cameron was a A+ coach. Thanks for all the well wishes...it was a wonderful pregnancy, labor, delivery and the first week as new parents has been a dream.
