Fall Festival & HALLOWEEN

Wow I'm behind on the blog so I'm back dating some of this and will keep the captions short and sweet.  Each year Liberty's preschool has a Fall Festival with games and a singing performance, etc.  She was dressed up as a blue ballerina.  We also went to Vertuccio farms with our neighbor friends The Gates. Henry was dressed a UA Wildcat but was sick on Halloween night so he didn't go trick or treating.

HALLOWEEN Trick or Treating

Actual Halloween - I feel like we've been celebrating all week long!  Cameron got home early and we went to Chipotle in costume (minus the glitter tutu).  We brought our dinner home and sat in our driveway to pass out some candy to early trick or treaters.  Liberty has dressed up as a "little gray cat" for days now and on actual Halloween she decided she wanted to be Cinderella - so after dinner her fairy godmother came and bippity boppity boo - she was transformed to Cinderella.  She was a pro trick or treater and then really liked handing out candy too.  At first she kept calling the trick or treaters "customers" and liked serving them like at a lemonade stand she said (too much Max & Ruby television!).

Pumpkin Carving and More Fall Festivals

We went to Vertuccio Farms again (this time with Cameron) to pick out our pumpkin and do more jumping on the air pillow!  We got there right when they opened on a Sunday so Liberty (and very pregnant mommy) wasn't overrun on the air pillow with bigger kids.  Libs really likes the cow train and milking that silly cow aka plywood cow with fake udders.  We also checked out the farmers market next door which was really cool - got some honey and you can see real bees at work in a display they've created.  The night before we went to our neighborhood Fall Festival which generous neighbors put together each year that involves homemade chilli and pies, a ton of booth games, and 2 bounce houses.

Liberty requested our famous KITTY CAT pumpkin design for our pumpkin again this year.  She wasn't that interested in helping with all the slimy guts, but salted those seeds for roasting and we all enjoyed those.

Trick or Treating with MOPS and Preschool Fall Festival

My MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers) group went trick or treating at a Senior Living home.  It was really cute to see all the kiddos dressed up and going around to all the elderly in the dining hall.

On Saturday Liberty's preschool had a Fall Festival with old fashioned games, crafts, food and a few performances   We had a good time and it was another excuse for this Little Gray Cat to show her dance moves.

HALLOWEEN 2011

Fun time had by all. Liberty went trick-or-treating at about 4 neighbors houses. Tried to let herself in but they didn't mind:) She enjoyed glow-sticks, flashlights, a few lolly-pops, screaming like the older kids in the haunted house, and being the prettiest purple butterfly in all the land.

Pumpkin Patch with Heppner's

Oh my...more pumpkin fun! After a great breakfast with our friends at the Hangar Cafe at the Chandler Airport (airplanes everywhere!!), The Heppner family met us at a nearby farm on a hot day to ride the train, visit some farm animals, do the bounce house and air pillow and pick out a little pumpkin with our cute pumpkins. Sienna and Liberty had a ball - and so did the grown ups.

Weekend Before Halloween

Grandma Jo and Grandpa Ted came to visit! We went to see Elmo at Changing Hands bookstore and hung out in the gorgeous weather. Lots of crafts and Halloween prep too.

Pumpkin Patch and Butterflies with Gma and Gpa

We took a trip to the Desert Botanical Gardens to take a hayride, pick out a pumpkin, visit the petting zoo and see the butterfly exhibit. It was TOO DAMN HOT but Liberty enjoyed spending time with my parents. We dressed her up in her Halloween costume (purple butterfly) so Gma and Gpa could get to see her and Liberty was quite the attraction inside the butterfly exhibit (people took pictures/video of her for example!) She was too adorable for words. So instead I have 43 pictures for you.

HALLOWEEN!!! Statue of Liberty

We had a very fun Halloween! I made Liberty a "Statue of Liberty" costume and we took her trick or treating to about 3 neighbors homes who we knew would want to see her. She also had her first taste of candy (sour twizzler) which she throughly enjoyed.

I know I should post the "best of the best" pictures for this blog - but honestly it is just easier to share our entire albums and I'm too worn out to do much editing (and can't bring myself to delete even the not so good pictures of my little angel). So forgive the 30 pictures and enjoy our LADY LIBERTY!

Carving our Pumpkin

Halloween is my least favorite holiday - but this year things are looking up. For one, my child is amused by everything - including pumpkin goop and posing for pictures with her daddy:)

Pumpkin Patch with Helsels

We went to the Desert Botanical Garden's GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH FESTIVAL along with Liberty's Aunt Kelly, Uncle Doug and Cousin Charlie! We went in the Monarch butterfly exhibit (1,000+ butterflies!), rode the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, picked our pumpkin and really enjoyed the day! A few funny things that happened: Cameron put the baby sunscreen on himself (don't recommend it), a random lady asked to take a picture of Liberty at the pumpkin patch and Charlie was more interested in the water bowls than the petting zoo animals.
Fun time had by all!

It's a GIRL!!!

Our baby due 3/31/2010 is going to be a baby GIRL! We had a great ultrasound and learned a lot about her - the nurse called her "Taco Lady" since she insisted on being curled up with her chin to her belly and her feet over her head (picture #1). But she did give us the IT'S A GIRL view without any doubts (picture #2)
