Henry on Playmat 5.5m
Henry would spend all day on his playmat if we let him...he is so easily entertained and can roll around, spin 360* and tries to lunge and scoot (he can scoot backwards a bit).

Children's Museum of Phoenix
Nothing like an expiring Groupon to get your butt to the Children's Museum of Phoenix. The last time we went Liberty was 18 months old I think - so it was definitely time to explore again! My mom got to come along and it was a fun time!

Tummytime & Siblings
This was a really cute photo shoot of Henry finally enjoying his playmat. He rolled over the day after I took these pictures. Liberty decided she was in a camera mood so there are some funny pictures of her posing with Henry - It cracks us up that the happier/cuter Liberty is - the more miserable Henry looks...he puts up with a lot of smothering love from big sis.

Tea Party
I was invited to Liberty's tea party a few weeks back and it was (in her words) "a wonderful tea party" - she's gotten so funny about role playing and it reveals so much of what she's learning. For example, I had no idea she knew what a "recipe" was but I learned from her that she does indeed and she was kind enough to share her "famous cranberry tea recipe" with me. She was a kind host that was even concerned with cooling down the tea for Curly the poodle dog. She was also cute in the fact she wanted to wear a special new dress (complete with tags) and a bracelet to the event. This is a long video probably only watchable to family at 4:35 minutes long. So here is a picture for the more casual blog visitor:)

Play Hard
Meet "Amberly" - a rat from IKEA that get's a lot of special treatment from Liberty - including lunch everytime we have lunch:) And a few of Amberly's friends...
Meet Liberty - who really cut loose at preschool making homemade ice cream and looked so disheveled when I picked her up I had to snap a picture when we got home (and this is with somewhat fixed up hair!) Shaking that ice cream bag around was hard work and then eating it was a drippy mess too I guess:) - but someone has got to do it.
Meet Rain - and our flooded back patio. An excuse to get out all the rain gear we own - which is very little.

Andy Visits!
happy happy joy joy. Uncle Andy came on an airplane to hang out with us! This was the best news to Liberty who frequently asks him to "come over and pretend with me?" (usually via her play phone). Liberty kept calling Andy her "dear uncle Andy". She also would tell me that he is her "best friend in the whoooole world" - which is a phrase she had reserved for mommy/daddy - but no longer. We swam, combated a haboob, organized the playroom, cooked out, went out to Liberty Market and Postinos and played played played. As we dropped Andy at the airport Liberty said "I miss him. He can come back whenever he wants" You heard her Dear Uncle Andy.

Imagination
Liberty's favorite toy had really got her imagination going. I drop in on her playing in the playroom to ask her about what she's been working hard at: moving the human family out of the doll house and turning it into a dog/cat house.
4 min video... Liberty playing with her "new dogs and cats"
5 min video... Liberty was busy in the playroom with her dogs/cats. She shows me around.

Play Kitchen
The Christmas that keeps on giving...
Since my Aunt Mimi has been in the hospital my parents have spent a lot time in Tucson - delaying their Christmas visit to our house to unveil the play kitchen. But thankfully on the 31st they stopped by for an hour on their way back home and got to see Liberty's reaction to her very own kitchen. She played and played and played and hasn't stopped since. Thanks Gma and Gpa! More pics were added to the Christmas Album in the post below.

Pre-Christmas Visit from the Wyatt's
Grandma Jo and Grandpa Ted came to visit! We fed the ducks at Freestone park and rode all the rides including the train, carousel and jet skis! Later we went out to dinner and then to see the Christmas lights at the Mormon Tempe in Mesa. The next morning we relaxed and took a stroll to our neighborhood park. Liberty has started to say Grandpa (papa) - especially when she sees a muffin. Ted makes his special muffins for her and she has associated all muffins with him. Liberty loves to do hair/makeup/lotion with Grandma Jo and to wear matching boots. It was such a nice, quality visit of playtime. Can't wait to travel up to snowy Flagstaff for Christmas at the Wyatt's!

The Box
This box was in our house for a week because Liberty had made it a comfy seat (complete with a pillow).

Splash Pad
Here are some pictures and small, poor quality videos of Liberty and our friends at a nearby Splash Pad. We got together with friends for a dinner at Liberty Market, and then walked to the splashpad next door so Liberty, Adalyn and Sienna could play in the water. Liberty had a great time winning the fearless wild child award.

Water Table Fun!
The Smith's always know the coooolest gifts! Thanks Aunt Nancy! Liberty adores her new water/sand table. Getting sand is on the todo list but for now she is thrilled with the water part. Here are some pictures of her first time with the water table, before I learned that just a diaper is the best outfit.

Playing with Cheetah's Toys
If it's a cat toy - it's one of Liberty's top 5 toys of all time. The rattly ball (with feathers removed of course), the fish on a string (under supervision), the fabric mouse, the scratch post and now this. I used to feel ashamed I was letting her play with these toys, but now it's commonplace at our house. Cheetah never played with them anyway! Cheetah only plays with hair-clips - go figure. I took these pictures right after Christmas - I was unpacking and Liberty was fascinated with Cheetah's toy (a trapped moving ball in a plastic circle tube) - it kept her attention for a loooong time.

Playing at the Park - 6th Wedding Anniversary - 9 months old
January 7th, 2011 - Liberty turned 9 months old and 6 years ago I became Mrs. Wyatt. Our little family of 3 celebrated by sliding down the slide, playing in the sand and racing our remote control car. It was a fun evening at our neighborhood park.

First Tooth and more...
6.5 months old = 1st tooth has cut through! She hadn't been acting any different except 1 thing: Usually the champion napper - for 2 days in a row during her first nap she woke up after 30 minutes and cried! This was so strange since she never cries! So I popped my finger in her mouth to check her gums and sure enough - the beginnings of her first tooth was poking through:) Her naps are back on track thankfully. She doesn't seem to mind the new tooth too much but she has started sucking in on her bottom lip right over the tooth and do new things with her tongue so we know she feels it!
Liberty is also very much enjoying her highchair, the jumperoo and sitting on her playmat. Here are some pictures from our days together.

Tummytime!
Liberty has rolled over tummy-to-back once and seems close to rolling over back-to-front since she sleeps a lot on her side. We work on it daily. Now if mommy could only be so motivated to do a few sit-ups while on the floor...

Laughing with Daddy
The long holiday weekend meant lots of playtime with Daddy - to Liberty's DELIGHT! The pictures speak for themselves.
