30 weeks - only 10 more to go!

Here we are at 30 weeks! We toured the hospital, are going to the childbirth preparation classes this weekend, and are almost done with the nursery! Our 5 year wedding anniversary present to each other was professional maternity/couple photos - we'll have those taken next week and I'm really excited for that. I've been sleeping better. No real complaints to speak of except heartburn and some rib/tendon soreness thanks to this little girl invading my space as she grows. She's probably around 16 inches long and 3 pounds by now - on track to be a very average sized baby from what the Doctors tell me. I see the doctor every-other week now.

Here is a picture of us at 28.5 weeks (bottom) and 30 weeks (top).
Sorry I'm wearing my ugliest green tops I own in both of them! :)

Baby Shower!

My mom and sister hosted a wonderful baby shower, complete with homemade baby cupcakes by Kelly. Friends Samineh and Kelly M. helped with decorations, Jenny helped with the cake, and everyone certainly showered this little girl with lots of love and things we'll need for her arrival. She also has quite the extensive library now thanks to everyone bringing a favorite children's book. I can't wait to unveil nursery pictures - my daughter will no doubt have a love of reading if I have anything to do with it.

I can't thank our family and friends enough for all the support and the showering of gifts. It was a day I'll remember forever! Thank you.

These projects will involve not 60, but 35,000 dishes in each location!

28 week growth Ultrasound

Our baby weights about 2.7 pounds now! I'm entering my third trimester now...feeling fine, eating dessert every chance I get, starting on the nursery decorating and sleeping like crap. I've gained 23 pounds and will no doubt gain another 10 before her birthday. Cameron and I still bike around the neighborhood and have been putting together nursery furniture - life is so good. Here is the latest 3D ultrasound picture of our little girl. The picture is of her face, knees and elbows (like shes holding a cell phone). It does look creepy we know, and her leg is fine - the ultrasound was slicing when the picture was snapped so you get to see through her leg/knee. Totally weird I know.

p.s. We've picked a name but haven't decided to share it before her birthday or not.
